The steps of quality control
Step 1: a stone check
Specialists control each stone, one by one. For our example, the double météorites stud earrings are examined with a x10 magnifying glass.
What are the points checked?
First, the global harmony of diamonds, which must all be at the same level.
Then, we check the inner and outer integrity of each stone, that is to say that none presents a defect, a chip or a sign of breakage.
Finally, each setting is checked one by one so that each stone is firmly held.
Step 2: a metal check
The frame of the jewel is checked in detail by means of a binocular magnifying glass, an instrument to enlarge the view! As at your dentist.
What are we checking this time?
Simply that the metal has no scratches, imperfections or imperfect polishing.
Step 3: a general control
Finally, the specialist carries out a final general check of the jewel before it is put in the case.
Quality control is a crucial step in making your jewelry, as we know that you will be the next person to discover it.
